Upgrade your BMW G-series vehicle (5 Series, M5, 7 Series, 6GT, X3, X4, X4 M) from the older iDrive 6 (EVO-based) system to the modern iDrive 7 experience — featuring faster Ethernet-based performance, smoother animations, a crisp 12.3-inch central display, and a fully customizable digital instrument cluster with signature 'curly-bracket' UI design.

This full retrofit includes: MGU main head unit, compatible digital gauge cluster, and audio interface module. Vehicles equipped with Harman Kardon or Bowers & Wilkins premium audio require an upgraded dual-amplifier setup (Ethernet-ready L7 amplifier); non-premium audio models need the optional audio receiver to enable full iDrive 7 functionality.

Important notes:
• This is a feature-optimized iDrive 7 retrofit — not the factory-fresh BDC3 ‘full-spec’ version; over-the-air (OTA) software updates are not supported.
• After installation, dealership diagnostics and coding via ISTA / E-sys will no longer work — you’ll need to temporarily revert to the original iDrive 6 unit for service visits.
• Built-in weather app is unavailable, but factory navigation has been successfully patched; Apple CarPlay remains fully functional and is a reliable daily alternative.
